The Vampire – Werewolf Frenzy And Celebrities That Rolled With It
It seems the last years were conquered by extreme escalations in box office having as base the fantasy gothic creatures that are a constant in the cinematography – the vampires.
In before year 2000 and Bram Stoker’s Dracula starring Gary Oldman, the vampire movies were mostly involving scary, nightmare giving monsters. The story started to change preparing the road for the Twilight franchise and the whole current that came with it.
With the Anne Rice novels with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt playing seductively beautiful creatures of the night in Interview with a Vampire, the modern vampires lost the dreaded look and became amazing creatures, almost indestructible, able to survive almost any traditional weapon the old movie vampires were killed with.
It seems the Hollywood cinematography slowly went into the wonderful challenge of transforming the most feared creatures into a more humane, more realistic hero.
“Gossip Girl” Is Back
I am so glad that a new season of the CW’s hit show, “Gossip Girl”, is back and they are now in college. The socialites of this popular television show are in for new romances, dilemmas, and fashions.
“Gossip Girl” is based on a book by Cecily von Ziegesar. It is an American television drama that started by following the lives of teens who attend a private school in New York City.

As the seasons progress we watch as the rich kids make their way through school into the latest season at college. The show’s cool young actors, that have absolutely charmed me, have a following who adore their characters and the clothes they wear. It is so popular that every young adult I know feel like they have to imitate the clothes they wear and sometimes the lives they lead.
Hollywood’s New Trend – Pregnant Or Not Pregnant
It seems like a lot of stars are suddenly having a need to want to bring their offspring into the world.
Whether it is by having the babies themselves, or adopting one…or several from another country the celebrities’ houses are turning into daycare.
Other stars like Fergie and Mariah Carey say they are in no rush at all to have kids quite yet.
Maybe this is due to both women having very successful careers at the present time, or maybe the thought of ruining a perfect figure is too much for these two women to even consider it.
As you may have noticed it has become to be very popular for pregnant actresses to pose nude during the later months in their pregnancy. I’m sure nobody has forgotten Demi Moore’s stunning photo on the 1991 Vanity Fair cover. She was seven months pregnant. This unique signature pose was also recreated by singer Lisa Scott-Lee.
To Be Or Not Be …Paris
The tabloids love her, the designers are at her feet, she doesn’t get very shy when she is about to show some skin, she proves and underlines that “blondes have the most fun” and with nerve or simple charisma she prowls Hollywood streets setting trends in fashion and attitude or even in language saying “That’s Hot and That’s Not” and promoting this line like she were promoting an image or a bag …simply being…Paris Hilton.
I simply look at this girl, photographed and put on the covers of the magazines, and given as an example; and ask all of you other girls of her age, what is with Paris that makes her get so much attention.
Madonna – Less Than A Saint But Much More Than A Diva
Just looking at the so many years Madonna has been around the showbiz I would have to say it’s quite…forever.
I remember that as an adolescent, I was very much into her new gothic look and I had “Frozen” as a ring tone on my cell.
Thinking how long I have known about and listen to Madonna’s music I am not amazed that I bought tickets for her Sticky & Sweet Tour.
Now let me tell you what makes this woman so amazing that at the age of 51 is able to get on the stage and perform on a world tour concert.
Since she began her career moving to New York and being on her feet, the celebrity was stuck to her mignonette persona and ever since then it didn’t let go. Madonna was made famous by her unique voice, her frequent changes of image, her nonconformist style and sometimes outrageous behavior.
New Faces And New Talents Making Hollywood Rock
We are so used to know the actors we love so often put on a pedestal, playing Oscar winning roles that we are amazed to see new faces on the cover of celebrity magazines, smiling after a wonderful performance in certain movies.
I personally was pretty wide eyed facing the publicity campaign around the movie “Twilight” and the young actors playing in it.
I remember Robert Pattinson from the role of Cedric in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire”. He wasn’t much younger when he played it but the girls didn’t notice him then.
It took a romantic vampire role to bring him into public’s attention as a sex symbol with crazy hairstyle and to be declared one of the most beautiful people in the world.
No wonder that the young actor makes fun of his overnight celebrity.
