And The Oscars Went To – No Surprise Whatsoever
The 82nd Annual Academy Awards wasn’t such a surprise for anyone. The Hollywood glamorous stars joined together for another night of expectations, hopes and triumph. The show was hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
The best actress of the year was nominated Sandra Bullock for her hit movie “The Blind Side”. The actress stole the Oscar in a competition with Meryl Streep, who was one of the expected winners for this category.
The Actor in a Leading Role was named Jeff Bridges for his act in “ Crazy Heart”, while the best Actor in a Supporting Role was taken by Christopher Waltz for his amazing play in Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.
The Oscar for best actress in a Supporting Role went to Mo’Nique in her role as an abusive mother in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.
“Gossip Girl” Set Meets Messy Fights Over A Photography
“Gossip girl” was never a calm TV show. And this is fact, because even behind the scenes there are fights and incidents. Last confirmation of this came days ago, when on the production set of the sitcom entered a bunch of paparazzi, who was willing to take pictures of Blake Lively and her guest partner Billy Baldwin.
They passed through security guards and took pictures of the artists, while they were working. The snappers were asked to exit the movie-set, but they refused. This ruined the process of filming, so the action was stopped and the tension got its peak, when a photographer dropped racist comments. This led to a violent battle and ended when the police came to stop the brawl.
The guest star Billy Baldwin and Blake Lively simply were waiting to continue with their work. At the end of the clash between security and paparazzi, there was one result – the photographer, who was making racist comments ended up with a bruised forehead.
Tibet Meets USA – Dalai Lama Visited White House
Two of the most influential people on the earth finally had their meeting. The President of US, Barack Obama and the spiritual guide of Tibet, Dalai Lama have met at the White House for one meeting, which for sure will stay in history.
Dalai Lama, who is now 74-years old, has met Obama, seeking more protection for Tibet, which experiences major differences with the Republic of China.
The two countries are in conflict since near a decade. The negotiations between China and Tibet so far didn’t bring any results in the last eight years.
In Beijing, Dalai Lama is considered as a separatist. China has made various tries to stop this meeting, but U.S. President didn’t follow their warnings. The consequences of this meeting are expected to put pressure on USA and China relation.
Despite these facts, Obama and Dalai Lama had their meeting on non-violence dialog about further USA – China – Tibet relations.
Cruise Back With Paramount For Another Mission Impossible
Who would have ever thought that Paramount Pictures, Tom Cruise and J. J. Abrams would try to make it even more of a rush to watch the impossible to kill – Ethan Hawke fighting around and saving the world?
It’s true. They said they couldn’t do it after both the first and the sequels and now they are pushing, raising the stakes.
Mission Impossible IV will have Tom Cruise again as Ethan Hawke and the leaks are saying that the racing thrills will top all other performances.
Although no director has been named, there are several names in the hat. Not much so far in the news about the story but if this team stays true it will be tightly plotted and well packed with twists, turns and mass confusions.
It is scheduled for release on Memorial Day next year and can only add a bundle to this billion and a half dollar franchise.
Paris Hilton Really…Really Wants To Get Married
Wow! Has Paris Hilton gone from party girl extraordinaire to housewife wannabe?
It looks like that is exactly what is happening. Doug Reinhardt is getting hints about his girlfriend Paris, wanting to get married and so is the public.
From comments about her “future sister-in-law” to ogling Doug’s mother’s wedding ring, the hints are coming fast and furious. So has the question been popped?
It is a fact that, the “hot” chick is notoriously known that when she is determined to have something she becomes unstoppable.
Paris’ ring finger is conspicuously bare and no announcements have been made by publicists for either one of them so you will have to be the judge of that for now.
Mel Gibson Hits The Roof Again
Mel Gibson did it again. Not too much time passed since the huge scandals he was implied after his violent outbursts and now he offends with such a blatancy, you might as well say he is playing a role, but unfortunately he is not, which puts his PR people in great difficulty.
At the end of a recent live interview, Gibson called the reporter “an asshole”, obviously bothered by a series of questions on his latest alcohol related problems.
He did try to put an end to the inquiry, saying those problems are long gone and he is over and done with that, but the reporter’s insistence drove him out of his minds.
Mel’s rep comes to the rescue and tries to convince the press that he was the one Gibson addressed to, because he has been pulling faces all through the interview.

This might not be happening often in the short history of tabloids, but it is annoying enough that it is happening now: for more than forty weeks in a row, has Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s broken romance kept the first pages with reasons, explanations and assumptions.
Not it was about time that we finally got an answer. And that answer seems to be, simply and not that surprising, Jennifer Aniston.
