Former NFL’s Steve McNair Found Shot Dead
Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot multiple times, including once in the head, at a Nashville, Tennessee, condominium, authorities said Saturday.
Steve McNair, 36, spent 13 seasons in the NFL, the majority with the Tennessee Titans.
Police said they found McNair and a woman identified as Sahel Kazemi shot to death after receiving a phone call about an injured person.
McNair’s body was found seated on a living room sofa, authorities said.
Kazemi sustained a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. Police also said a pistol was found near her body.

Harry Potter is Back with another Block Buster
Boy wizard Harry Potter is back in cinemas later this month with the sixth installment of the movie franchise, and another box office bonanza looks assured for the Warner Bros. studio.
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” hits screens on July 15, promising high-speed action, dark and dangerous battles with the forces of evil, budding romance at Hogwarts school for wizards and the expected death of a prominent character.
But while Harry Potter waves his magic wand over and over, he just can’t enchant Oscar voters. Indeed, Harry Potter is fast becoming the Susan Lucci of the Oscars. Since 2001, his five films have netted just six nods and no wins.
The wait has been a long one for Potter fans around the world who have followed the fate of Harry and his friends through the seven best-selling books by British author J.K. Rowling.

Michael Jackson’s public memorial — to be held Tuesday, July 7 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles — will be open to 17,500 attendees chosen through a free, online lottery system at StaplesCenter.com
People who want tickets must register on the Web at Staplescenter.com. After 6 p.m. Saturday, 8,750 names will be randomly selected to receive two tickets each. Notifications will go out on Sunday. Those selected will obtain their tickets via Ticketmaster on Monday.
The service is expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators wanting to pay their respects to the King of Pop, who died June 25. How city officials will handle the massive crowd remains to be settled.
Leiweke says 11,000 tickets will be for seats inside Staples Center and 6,500 will be for seats in the adjacent Nokia Theatre, where fans will watch a simulcast.
