Singer and Song- writer Melissa Etheridge has finally tied a knot with her partner Linda Wallem on this Saturday night at San Ysidro Ranch located in Montecito, California. Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem had been friends for over 10 years before becoming an official couple in 2010. After the California Supreme Court had made gay rights legal, both of them decided to get engaged in 2013.

Melissa Etheridge Married to Linda Wallem

The most entrancing event of the outdoor marriage ceremony was probably when Etheridge sang a beautiful song she made exclusively for her partner for this event. While Etheridge stood her ground in a smart grey suite, Wallam looked absolutely stunning and every bit a bride in her sheer white dress.

Etheridge’s four children also took an active part in their wedding ceremony. Blessed with 2 seven year’s old twin Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose and her other two older daughters, Bailey Jean Cypher aged 17 and Beckett Cypher at 15, Etheridge looked every bit happy to complete her new family.

The ceremony was also blessed with the arrival of several celebrity guests like Jane Lynch, Chelsea Handler, Whitney Cummings, Peter Facinelli, Sia and Rosie O’ Donnell. The ceremony was held two days after the couple officially celebrated their 53rd birthday together. After the marriage, they did not waste any time and immediately went ahead to enjoy their honeymoon together on Sunday. This was an absolute surprise honeymoon trip planned by Etheridge with the help of a personal vacation planner for her beloved Wallam.

With her new album coming out on September 30, Etheridge had her fans guessing about the tweet she made regarding a new and unheard song that she might be singing for someone special this Saturday. Of course, fans are now absolutely clear that she was actually referring to her marriage ceremony and Wallam as the ‘someone’ special.

Etheridge had announced that she was indeed homosexual in 1993 at the inauguration festival of the then President of USA, President Clinton and shared that she was very proud of the fact that she was a lesbian all her life. However, before this official confession, people had suspected her sexual preferences when Julie Cypher, actor Lou Diamond Philips’s wife had left him in 1988 to enter into a romantic relationship with Etheridge.

Etheridge has globally announced that the creator of the television series Nurse Jackie and the producer of The 70’s Show, Wallam is her one true love.
