“Gossip Girl” Competing For Attention With “Pretty Little Liars”
“Pretty Little Liars” is the latest teen favorite on the small screen. It has always been compared to another teenage favorite show “Gossip Girl”. The two shows besides being adaptations of novel series have plenty of features that are strikingly similar. Both the series are about privileged kids who behave like erring adults.
Pretty Little Liars is an ABC Family show whereas the Gossip Girl has sent TRPs flying for the CW Network. Though PLL is still new it is giving GG a run for its popularity.
Here is a comparison of both these shows listing out the many similarities that they have.
Both the shows have unknown techno friendly stalkers that follow the rich kids around. Gossip Girl is the stalker who blogs about the adventures and misadventures of the group and even uses her mobile to post quick blurbs, similarly “A” sends in threatening text messages and also breaks into their homes in the PLL series. This unknown stalker sometimes puts things right and sometimes messes around their homes.
Paris Hilton and Her Stolen Cake Tale
We are accustomed to see the blonde diva stand out for the strangest of reasons but the stolen cake story is ridiculous even for her.
Long story cut short, the most famous socialite, Paris Hilton, changed the 20’s for 30’s. For this high glam event, the diva ordered a cake able to fit her glamorous image.
Red, decorated with roses, a pair of cat eyes looking at you and having “Paris” written on the top layer, the infamous cake looked so delicious that somebody was compelled to steal it.
The fabulous party which was held in Paris’ honor hosted no less than 300 guests. To everybody’s surprise, the fabulous cake was just presented and nobody, the birthday girl included, thought of serving it to the guests.
A very creative party crusher under the name of “Spaz” saw fit to not let the pastry jewel go waste. Said and done, he grabbed the cake and disappeared in the proverbial sunset.

The age of SciFi is promising a significant succession of blockbusters for 2011. The beauty of it is that we are expecting not only heroes but also complex intrigue, psychological wars and a lot more than the basic invasion movies we know so well.

We are accustomed to see Marvel push forward a new fantastic story every year and this year is no different. If Thor is something we know already about, X-men first class is surely something to think of. Since a sequel would have pushed the note too much, Marvel created a prequel. We will see mutants battling the evil on sets looking like the 60’s; so it should be interesting to watch.

Everyone has a role model, even Miley Cyrus. The problem is that the teen singer has an eccentric role model or she just wants to be interesting, after she didn’t win anything at the Grammies. Miley was bashed after she chose to wear inappropriate for her age outfit.
Yet, the singer revealed that she loves Snooki and her behavior. It may sound strange for many people, but Miley admitted that she is obsessed with Snooki’s behavior. The critics pointed out that Miley should find another role model to follow, considering her failure on the Grammies. Yet, we must really understand Miley.
The singer is trying desperately to be as shocking as her inspiring role model Snooki. The truth is Miley should stay as her public wants her to be – something very, very different from Jersey Shores star Snooki.
Grammys – The Unexpected Has Happened
Every year, the Grammy awards invite lot of attention on the ceremony. This year is no exception. The 53d ceremony was lavish, eccentric and provocative.
The most prestigious musical event in the world took place in Los Angeles. The biggest victory of the year belonged to the country music trio Lady Antebellum, who won five statues, including two in the major categories for Best Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
The group was nominated in six categories, but their song Need You Now brought them four awards. No one really expected that a country group will blow away the competition.
Eminem, who was nominated in ten categories, won only two – for Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Album. According to the critics, Eminem wasn’t at the level everyone expected.

Twilight has nothing to do with reality, but if you are fan of the modern fairytales, just go for it. Don’t expect sensual scenes. Twilight is a movie about an impossible love between a vampire and a human.
4. Casablanca
There is no other movie that shows such a class. Casablanca will be always a masterpiece, not only because of its plot, but because of the actors. Humphrey Bogart has made the role of his life, not to mention the famous quote of the movie: Play it again Sam!

Halle vs. Gabriel for Nahla
When love ends, it all gets messy. The latest Hollywood story is about the battle between Halle Berry and the father of her child Gabriel Aubrey. American actress Halle Berry temporarily puts aside her professional projects to focus on fighting for custody of her daughter – two-year old Nahla. The actress is said to experience serious concerns for the welfare of Nahla.
Halle is concerned that Gabriel isn’t providing enough care for her daughter. The couple split last April and although it seemed they have reached a friendly agreement for the good of Nahla, Halle now has decided to refer the matter to the court for the sole custody of the child.
The agent of the actress has said in a statement that she will make all necessary steps to protect her daughter. According to the statement, Halle is trying to resolve all issues with Gabriel in a friendly manner, but he is refusing to agree on her suggestions. That is why the court will decide who will have the custody of Nahla.
