‘Spider-Man’ Director, Sam Raimi Signs Warcraft Project
Sam Raimi, director of “Spider man”, had agreed to direct a movie based on the world of Warcraft online game and fantasy universe.
It is expected to start shooting a fourth of this fall and set to release in 2011.
Sam signing with “World of Warcraft” makes the film one of the strongest bets on the Warner schedule as early as 2012.
Blizzard Entertainment, which introduced its first Warcraft game in 1994, began developing the current film version with legendary three years ago. With more than 11 million monthly subscribers, the Warcraft series has been widely described as the most heavily played of the multiplayer online games, which pit players against one another via the Internet.

Movies – An Unknown Phase Of MJ’s Career
Though Jackson is famous for his excellence in Music, very few knew the fact that he also enjoyed another phase of his artistic outlet: Movies.
The long association of Jackson with a small time filmmaker led to a featured role in a campy 2007 film unfamiliar to many of his fans and also may well have led to another project he was developing.
B-movie producer, writer and director Bryan Michael Stoller told that Jackson was very excited about making movies and wanted his hands on everything, from working on screenplays to producing, to writing the music. However, he never showed any interest in acting.
Three months before his death, Stoller says Jackson committed to co-directing and financing a movie — a poignant drama about foster children — and planned to get started as soon as he completed his London concerts.

MJ’s Final Words Of Wisdom To Britney
Britney Spears received some valuable advice from the King of Pop, Michael Jackson shortly before he departed for the great rock show in the sky.
He called her and told her that she should focus on family life and reportedly told her “Don’t end up like me”. Considering how he ended up, that is positively eerie!
According to one source, claiming to be a close aide of Britney, who spoke to British magazine Look “I think Michael’s warning sent shivers down Britney’s spine.
He was emphatic in warning her she should leave show business in order to maintain her sanity. He thought she should retire after the ‘Circus’ tour so she could focus on the things that mattered – her sons and family. Britney must have taken Michael’s words to heart as she promised him she would at least take a long break after she finished the tour.”
“Harry Potter” Has Lost None Of Its Magic
The Sixth entry in the fantasy franchise, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince“, smashed the records of “spider-man” earning $396.7 million for a five day period. This is a clear sign that worthwhile franchise has lost none of its magic.
The distributor for this wonderful fantasy film, Warner Bros, said on Sunday that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” earned $159.7 million in the United States and Canada, and it is the sixth biggest opening for a five day period.
The international component stands at $237 million from 84 markets, also setting a new record. The old records were held by “Spider-Man 3″ in 2007 when its global bow of $381.7 million included foreign sales of $230.5 million.

‘Angela’s Ashes’ Author, Dies Of Melanoma Skin Cancer
Frank McCourt, best known author for ‘Angela’s Ashes’ author, Former Public School teacher and beloved raconteur, died at 78 in Manhattan on Sunday of metastatic melanoma. He had contracted meningitis after battling with skin cancer and the condition had gradually worsened over last two days.
Initially he responded well to cancer treatment, but two weeks ago he was diagnosed with meningitis as well, which is a complication that usually occurs one in 25 melanoma sufferers.
Mr. McCourt, who taught in the city’s school system for nearly 30 years, had always told his writing students that they were their own best material.

Ryan Seacrest Deal Worth $45 Million For “The American Idol”
According to Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Seacrest, “The American Idol” host, has signed a whooping $45 million contract extension with the show’s co-producer CKX’s 19 entertainment. The Show franchise gives CKX exclusive rights to Ryan’s broadcast TV on-camera work for length of contract.
In a statement announcing the deal with Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment Seacrest said, “I’m truly appreciative of being part of a show that has had such an enormous impact on popular culture across all ages. I look forward to expanding the relationship with Simon Fuller and Bob Sillerman, who share the same visionary approach to entertainment media that I strive for with every project.”

Avril Lavigne Launches Kids Wear
Punk Princess Avril Lavigne is known as a songwriter, fashion designer and actress in that order. And it is the second job description that seems to be receiving the most attention at this time.
Her back to school collection, the Abbey Dawn collection launched a year back, got a good enough reception that she decided to go a step further with her new collection which extends the line to include designs for younger girls as well.
Abbey Dawn retailer Kohl describes the line as a “junior’s lifestyle brand” and the line includes apparel and jewelry with skull and zebra patterns.
Remember The Best Damn Thing (her third album)? Now we’re talking layered tees with ‘friendly’ skull graphics (grinning ghouls? Um, OK), cozy leggings and more such.
Lavinge claims to really like the stuff and wishes she could fit into some of it. Presumably she wants to be seen in a “really cute zebra hoodie with ears.”

Hollywood’s favorite Brit celeb and Harry Potter star Emma Watson gave the world a show of some knickers recently.
In the latest in wardrobe malfunctions, this time it was the turn of the pretty Potter girl to give a glimpse of what lies beneath.
There was no serious exposure involved at the premier of the latest Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but the rain ensured that a little panty and a lot of leg was on display.
It was on the way back from the premier that in trying to avoid the rain, pulled her dress away so she wouldn’t step on it that the enchanting Emma ended up showing more than she bargained for. For the waiting paparazzi it was a windfall.
Lindsay Lohan Spends 23rd Birthday With Ex Girlfriend
Hollywood’s favorite troubled brat turned 23 years old on July 2nd and guess who celebrated along with her? Ex girlfriend Samantha Ronson! Now rumors about are – they – aren’t – they abound and disapproving daddy (Michael Lohan) is probably not best pleased.
Lohan and Ronson were seen in matching ripped jeans and regulation shades, the former couple was seen taking a pizza and pasta take out.
By all accounts Lohan seemed “very happy” and “relaxed like she was enjoying her birthday”. Later it was time spent at a salon followed by dinner with friends and balloons.
According to her tweet on twitter, Lindsay was having the “best bday ever with family, friends. But I miss my sister and baby brother Cody and my mommy and nana.”
And a lot of tweeting in Lohan’s life these days: according to her it is her Irish roots that causes the on and off kind of relationship between Ronson and her. Well on and off for two years now.
