Mariah CareyDiva extraordinaire Mariah Carey has apparently took a swing at Eminem in response to lyrics from his CD track “Bagpipes From Baghdad” with her own musical kick in the groin with her track “Obsessed,” taken from her new CD entitled Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

The new record was first heard on Tuesday and the lyrics clearly seem to be an attack on the hip-hop star with questions such as ‘’Why are you obsessed with me” sprinkled throughout the track.

At one point Carey even mentions the rap star by name, and goes on to sing about his drug problems that Eminem has sung about on his own CDRelapse. All of this is in response to Eminem’s ratings on his “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” album where he sings about “taking” the diva back from her boyfriend Nick Cannon.

The lyrics say that he is not fooling around and wants her back and refers to Cannon as a ‘punk’. Since the release of his CD he has very much stepped back from his words in an attempt to calm the situation down but now with the release of Maria Carey’s new album it looks like the argument is flaring back up again.

In the track Carey also refers to Eminem as being both in a ‘confused’ state and as being totally ‘delusional’ and to have ‘lost his mind’ as well of course as being ‘obsessed’.

  1. Thanks for posting this article. I’m definitely frustrated with struggling to search out pertinent and intelligent commentary on this subject. Everybody now goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either: everyone else in the planet is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not really understand the situation. Many thanks for your succinct, relevant insight.
